Columbus Circle
On a very wet and windy day me and Hanna got off on the wrong stop on the way to Moma. We got so excited to see the Christmas lights installed on some bare trees... I tried to take a decent photo to capture the glitteriness, but it just wasn't capturing what I was seeing. Living in New York for about 9 years I never knew Columbus Circle was so beautiful during December...

Thanksgiving @ The Roxbury NY
Ahhh~
Thanksgiving was great! I spent it with my Best Friend Sascha at Alec's parents house in upstate New York along with Daniel. We took a road trip there and Alec even let me DRIVE to "town!" kee kee kee. Alec's hometown is really beautiful surrounded by hills, trees and his wonderful family. Importantly it was extremely relaxing, I needed the total darkness when you turn off the lights, the nonstop eating... delicious meals cooked by Alec's mother Bonnie, and having absolutely nothing to do. We got to eat, drink, critique a cook off, watch endless about of youtube videos of Beyonce, mini hikes and I even got to see my first snow of the year. I had so much fun! and I miss Jane (Alec's dog) even if she smelled and gave me puffy, red eyes, she might be the luckiest dog I know. If you question the last photo of the Apollo Theater: I have never seen it and when we dropped off Daniel in Harlem I got really excited to see it for the first time! so yes the trip was very successful.

SI Friday
One Friday night after work I found myself on the Staten Island Ferry... To be in the same city, but yet feel so different. Inside, things remained pretty much "old school", like makeup tables in the ladies room, and the wooden benches w/ steel bases. The ride was about 20 minutes, and it was kind of relaxing...surprisingly. On the other side, my good friend Sariah was waiting for me, it's always great visiting her. She has her studio in Staten Island and is working hard on her beautiful collections.

random moments of beauty
More and more I live in this city, I find myself obsessing over the subtle beauties of nature... I know that deep down that I will have to be in a place one day where I don't have to feel this is a rarity. But till then I guess I won't be able to walk away from the little beauties that moves me about this city.

Finger Prints...
I went to the USCIS office to get my finger prints taken and walked into the most fascinating building... It seemed like an abandon shopping mall, so ready for its close up for some indie movie. It was weird! and inside of this massive building there was only two stores. One was the "Fashion Bug" and the 99 cents Store. I know many of you will wonder why this fascinates me so much, but I guess I really loved the aesthetics of the florescent lighting and the endless amount of space that wasn't being used.
